As the General Secretary of the Pakistan Masters Weightlifting Association (PMWLA), it is both an honor and a responsibility I hold with deep pride. Our association stands as a beacon of strength, unity, and opportunity for veteran athletes across Pakistan.
At PMWLA, we believe that age is not a barrier—it is a badge of experience, resilience, and unshakable dedication. Our mission is to create a thriving environment where our senior weightlifters can continue their athletic journey with dignity, support, and recognition.
Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Arshad Khan, and with the strength of our affiliates—the International Masters Weightlifting Association (IMWA) and Asian Masters Weightlifting Association (AMWA)—we are working tirelessly to:
Build a structured and respected platform for masters weightlifting in Pakistan.
Organize inclusive, transparent, and competitive events across the nation.
Provide opportunities for our athletes to represent Pakistan at international masters championships.
Promote awareness around health, wellness, and active lifestyles beyond the age of 35.
Together, we are not only preserving the legacy of our senior lifters but also setting new standards for what it means to stay active, committed, and competitive throughout life.
I welcome all veteran athletes, supporters, and partners to join our movement—because every lift tells a story, and every story deserves a stage.
With respect and resolve,
M. Rashed Malik
General Secretary
